Current Projects

Poetrynear.me

In 2023, I began poetrynear.me to revive what gotpoetry.com might have had to offer, and it has shown very little impetus so far. But gotpoetry.com took several years to really take off, so I'm not too worried. Going forward, I have quite a few projects that have been collecting dust for about 20 years or so, and one project that I began in 2023. I am moving out of the memoir genre into some uncharted territory, but we'll get there in a bit.

Poetry

I started writing and performing poetry when I turned twenty. I'll have to admit, it wasn't the best poetry, and I looked pretty green in 1993. I thought my poetry was okay. It took another 5 years of performing all over Rhode Island to hone a persona I refer to as The Village Idiot. In 1998, I began writing some of the best and worst poetry imaginable and performing all over New England. I made it out to Chicago a couple times, and Arizona, and even performed at the CBGB before they closed down for good. In 2023, I put all of that poetry into a book aptly named "Poetry."

The Village Idiot

In the meantime, I spent 1999-2004 writing letters and essays using this persona I dubbed "The Village Idiot." As this alter-ego of mine was always chasing tail, I named the collection "Tails of The Village Idiot." I published all three books, and "Poetry," which is part of the collection, on Amazon. They are available as e-books at this time. Paperback versions will be available at the beginning of 2024. Book one and two were written between 1999 and 2004, and The Resurrection of The Village Idiot was written in 2023.

Damaged Perspectives

In 2022, I began painting with acrylic paint on canvas. I have showcased my paintings in a couple shows in 2023. I spent the last 2-3 weeks of 2023 completing a beautiful book with all of my paintings that will be available for sale in the beginning of 2024.
